The internet connection in the office where Chowdanet is hosted will be updated to
Verizon FiOS on 15 January 2010. What will happen is the IP address will change.
This will cause failed connections for a day or two. I'll update the proper files, but it
will take up to a few days to propagate through the DNS system. It will eventually
connect, however. Patience, please.
Chowdanet is a Bulletin Board in Providence, RI, USA which carries RMininet,
AdventureNet and FIDO message bases. It has it's origins in the Ham Radio
packet BBS scene of the 1980's and still has a large amount of Ham related
material.
E-mail from two domain names is available, chowda.com and chowdanet.com
A large selection of online games, and a Files base of about 100,000 files is available.
